For young children
ALTERNATING ALPHABET
Another simple game is to say the alphabet, taking turns, as fast as you can. You, "A." Your child,"B." You, "C." etc.
ANIMAL SOUNDS
This is a perennial favorite. "What does the dog say?" and "What does a Lion say?" Your child is a genius and never grows tired of this one. When she does grow tired of it however, you and your child can try making up animals like, "What does the hoogalumph say?" (The correct answer would be "Wonk! Wonk!" or any other sound she made up.)
