I Spy
With very young children, who can't yet spell, simple games like "I Spy" are a good diversion. Simple and easily modified for different ages, it's another spotting game. Start by finding something in the landscape or inside the car that the child can see too. Get them to guess what you see by giving a hint. For instance, you've spotted a cloud. "I spy with my little eye something that is white," is good for a three-year-old.
ALTERNATING ALPHABET
Another simple game is to say the alphabet, taking turns, as fast as you can. You, "A." Your child,"B." You, "C." etc.
