Mellow My Baby
Soothing Songs and Lullabies
by Sherry Goffin Kondor

Winner of 5 national parenting awards

This collection wraps your child in a blanket of warm soothing music. A combination of original, traditional and even non-traditional tracks, including Never Never Land (Peter Pan), Betcha By Golly Wow, and Stay Awake (from Mary Poppins). Mellow my baby thoughtfully provides you with both vocal and instrumental versions of the songs, so you can sing your own renditions of these dreamy songs.

I love this album! The songs are unique, the arrangements well done and the vocals are just beautiful. I look forward to listening to it every evening with my son! I'm buying one for all of my friends with new babies.

If you haven't heard this woman, take notice NOW. Dee has the most beautiful, clear voice you'll ever know. These songs are not just for children... You will find yourself putting this CD on even after the children are lulled to sleep by her sweet and endearing songs. Dee not only has talent at singing and playing the HARP beautifully, but also is a fantastic song writer. My favorite song is 'Man on the Moon'... wonderful imagery in her lyrics and a melody that stays with you.

This CD is my favorite 'baby-shower' gift too... A wonderful start to any family's music collection.

I highly recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys talented female vocalists and wants something refreshingly new!
(Booklist/June 2002) This exquisite collection of 16 original songs is the best lullaby compilation since All through the Night (1995). Dee Carstensen and cosongwriter Julie Dansky’s gentle voices fit the lullaby genre to a T. Curtis King and Everett Bradley provide pleasant male leads (and some playful stylistic variations like the percussive “I Sing You a Song”) on several selections. Five brief instrumental interludes featuring harp, cello, oboe, mandolin, violin, guitar, and vibraphone music supplement the vocals. Even though the lyrics include such adulatory words as angel, wonder, miracles, and precious, as well as such euphoric phrases as, “I have the world in my arms” and “You’ll have my heart wherever you go,” the songs never seem cloying as they lyrically celebrate the intrinsic joys of parenthood and the tranquil together time preceding sleep. With eclectic harmonies and elegant instrumentation, the selections seem like traditional lullabies; that they are new and original is remarkable

I just wanted to say 'thank you' for "mellow my baby".

music plays a major role in our family and lullabies have always been an important part of the bedtime routine of our 4-year-old. of course, she's no longer a baby (but already a pretty strong-willed young lady, sigh) but reading a bedtime story and listening to some soothing music is still very important to her and to me, too. and "mellow my baby" has passed the test.
no doubt. she loves it. in fact, we both do. i cried the first time i played "with you in your dreams". it went straight to my heart and touched my soul. beautiful music, beautiful lyrics, beautiful sound. it expresses exactly what i feel about having a child.

Dear Sherry,

Just wanted you to know that I love, love, love the Mellow My Baby CD! It is soothing, beautiful, truly wonderful. My daughter, Elise, is 2 yrs old and she will not go to sleep without it. Whether it is nap time or bedtime, she want's to hear only .."moosic", your cd. I originally bought it because of "Stay Awake", a song I like to sing to Elise at bedtime. But what a find! Every song is wonderful.

Thank you for this beautiful collection of lullabies,

Rebecca Marinella

If you only buy one CD for listening to with your newborn, this is it! My baby is just 11 weeks old and we listen to "Mellow my baby" over and over
again every day. My husband, who is not too into lullabys, catches himself singing the songs even when the CD isn't playing! It's been wonderful and I know we will continue to listen to it while our daughter grows and can sing the songs herself. This would be a perfect gift for all new mothers, and it's what my friends will be receiving for their new babies.
